Whole-School Backups

We bring simple scalable and affordable to the backup space. A backup of your data is such an important part of our digital lives. Ask yourself, what would you do if that file you have been working on for all those years, was lost? Thankfully at Chestnut we really do bring simple scalable, affordable backups, using a mixture of on premise and cloud storage spaces, we not only backup your data to multiple locations, we backup the entire server as well!

On Premise backups are files that are stored on or around the school grounds. Usually to a little black box that we call a NAS box. This relatively cheap solution allows for the quick recovery of data using advanced software installed on the server, or any device if your server has failed.

Cloud backups use your school’s fast broadband connection to replicate your data into a secure area within the cloud, offering you a true offsite place to store your data, and complying with certain school polices.

Both solutions have pluses and minuses, but Chestnut Backups seamlessly incorporates them both. We also manage and monitor the backups too, to ensure they are running smoothly, and reacting when a problem occurs.
